The Kansas Track and Field team will be heading to Fayetteville, Arkansas for the Tyson Invitational on February 9-10 hosted by the Arkansas Razorbacks.

The Kansas Track and Field team had an impressive showing at the Iowa Black and Gold Invite, recording 18 first place finishes as well as setting 10 new meet records across various events. 

The Kansas track and field team has announced their 2023-24 schedule, which will consist of 20 total meets across the indoor and outdoor seasons.

Kansas track and field opened its competition at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational in Lincoln, Nebraska on Friday, highlighted by junior Chandler Gibbens running a meet record 14:05.31 to win the 5,000 meters.

The final day of the Husker Invitational saw a pair of KU school records fall inside the Devaney Center Indoor Complex, as Alexander Jung broke the heptathlon school record and Gabrielle Gibson broke the 60 meter hurdles school record.

Kansas track & field will head north to a pair of meets this weekend, as the Jayhawks compete at the Husker Invitational in Lincoln, Nebraska and the Iowa State Classic in Ames, Iowa from Feb. 3-4.

Kansas track & field senior Rylee Anderson was named the Big 12 Track and Field Athlete of the Week, the Big 12 Conference announced on Wednesday, after winning the high jump at the Jayhawk Invitational on Jan. 27.

Kansas track and field held its fourth meet of the indoor season and final at home on Friday at the Jayhawk Classic Invitational, where the Jayhawks won 19 events and had several strong performances inside Anschutz Pavilion.

In its fourth indoor meet of the 2022-23 season, the Kansas men’s and women’s track and field teams return home to host the Jayhawk Invitational on Friday, January 27 inside Anschutz Pavilion.
