ICT Division backtracked from activations amid criticism

ICT Division is establishing 13 new cineplexes outside of the capital by 2025. Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority of ICT Division is building these 13 cinema halls to screen movies and by this year a cineplex will be inaugurated in Rajshahi.  The remaining twelve will be constructed by 2025.

ICT Division has won the “Bangabandhu Public Administration Award-2022” in recognition of its contribution to combat Covid-19 with its digital vaccine management system Surokkha.

According to the budget for the fiscal year 2022-23, it has been proposed that Tk 1,917 crore will be allocated for the ICT Division. Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal proposed the allocation during the budget presentation for the fiscal year 2022-23.

State Minister for ICT Division Palak expressed his interest to work jointly with India as a knowledge partner in making Bangladesh a smart country.
