John Leahy, the owner/breeder of world champion Jeremes Jet, confirmed that the stallion passed away on Friday, Aug. 25 at the age of 20, according to a report by the U.S. Trotting Association.

While 12-year-old pacer Ideal Jet has experienced a number of changes over the course of his career, two things have remained the same: his trainer and co-owner Craig Barss, and his success.

On Wednesday night (March 15) at The Raceway at Western Fair District, Beach Moment delivered as the odds-on choice in the featured $12,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred Pace and veteran Ideal Jet nabbed his 50th victory.

After posting a much-needed, confidence-boosting win in London on November 1, Giddy Up Max returned to the half-miler and marched up the class ladder to take on tougher foes in Friday’s $13,000 Preferred Pace.

So Frisky ($3.30) and Pembrook Legacy N ($3.50) both delivered on odds-on promises in their co-featured $10,000 Preferred 3 events on the Boxing Day (Sunday, Dec. 26) program at The Raceway at the Western Fair District.
