The Police in Lagos say they have arrested a 50-year-old man over the ‘sudden death’ of his girlfriend, one Enobong Udoh, 38.
Muyiwa Adejobi, the state police spokesperson, said in a statement Sunday that the incident happened on April 11 at about 10.45 a.m.
Mr Adejobi said one Blessing Pius of No. 46, Adegboruwa Street, Igbogbo, Ikorodu, reported to the Police that the deceased was found dead in her house.
He said upon the report, the Police invited the deceased’s boyfriend for interrogation, where he allegedly confessed that the deceased was pregnant.
Mr Adejobi said the suspected boyfriend claimed that his late lover informed him of being pregnant since February.

Anwuanwu had gone to check on his girlfriend, Juliet Eguebor at a bar owned by Ngozi Emezue, Juliet's friend in the Ikotun area of Lagos and slumped after having a misunderstanding with the two women.

Men of the Lagos State Police Command on Wednesday have arrested three male community leaders for lynching a suspected burglar to death at the Ikotun area of the state.
The men apprehended, Sakariyau Biliaminu, John Adeyemi and Gabriel Ajayi, killed their victim having caught him after breaking into the room of one Mrs Adeyemi Opeyemi in the area.
