  The Imo State Government has said the purchase of N2.5 billion ‘Government House vehicles’ by Governor Hope Uzodimma between October and December 2023 is backed by law.   A copy of the state budget performance report obtained by SaharaReporters shows no sign of budgetary allocation in the 2023 budget approved by the Imo State House of Assembly.   The report titled ‘Imo State Fourth Quarter (October - December) 2023 Budget Performance,’ was posted on the state government’s website.

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, spent N2.5 billion between October and December 2023 to buy ‘Government House vehicles’, a copy of the state budget performance report obtained by SaharaReporters has revealed   Government House vehicles are official cars used by the governor, his wife, the deputy governor, his wife and their aides.   The report titled ‘Imo State Fourth Quarter (October - December) 2023 Budget Performance,’ was posted on the state government’s website.  

Share Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has signed into law two executive bills passed by the Imo State House of Assembly. The bills include: “A bill for a Law to Establish Imo State Security Organisation to assist in maintaining Law and Order in the State and Related Matters therein. Another is “A Bill for a Law Establishing Imo State Land Administration and Geographic Information Service for the purpose of regulating land administration in Imo State and other related matters therein.”...
