on the lines of it being a political and court of public opinion process. how long will this charade to go on? as long as democrats can get away with it given their impeachment regularities to date it s not hard to imagine mrs. pelosi sitting on her impeachment articles through next fall s election campaign. that would deny mr. trump the ability to say he had been acquitted, even if it is insured a constant stream of negative impeachment coverage. the question to you is does nancy pelosi sort of have the president on this? there is no legal way for him or mitch mcconnell to force a trial, right? you ask a great question. i don t think there is a legal way to force senator to try the case. however, i think the president ought to take an aggressive approach here. if they don t move forward, file some motion to dismiss.
