Bangladesh may not able to achieve the RMG export target set for the current fiscal year because of the energy crisis, fall in work orders, and higher inflation in European countries, BGMEA President Faruque Hassan said today.

SHANGHAI, Oct 27 (SMM) - According to customs data, in September 2022, China's lithium carbonate import volume was 12,527 mt, an increase of 11% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 251%.

SHANGHAI, Oct 27 (SMM) - The import volume of aluminium extrusion from January to September 2022 was 26,000 mt, an increase of 12.4% YoY.

According to latest data from General Administration of Customs, China imported 390,600 mt of zinc concentrates in September 2022, up 142,000 mt or 3.77% MoM and 53.49% YoY. The imports totalled 2.88 million mt in January-September, a year-on-year increase of 5.7%.

According to customs data, China imported 87,150 mt of lead concentrates in September, down 44.53% on the month, but down 25.41% on the year.

Customs data showed that China imported 8,209.5 mt of rare earth metal ore in September 2022, a year-on-year increase of 46.17% and a month-on-month increase of 149.11%.

According to customs data, China imported 9,859 mt of refined nickel (including unwrought non-alloy nickel with a total amount of nickel and cobalt ≥99.99% and cobalt ≤0.005%, and other unwrought non-alloy nickel) in September 2022, down 17.56% month-on-month (MoM) and 72.21% year-on-year (YoY).

China exported 496,000 mt of unwrought aluminium and aluminium semis in September, down 8.22% from the previous month but up 0.8% on the year, according to customs data.

Data from the General Administration of Customs shows that China's imports of bauxite in September were 8.21 million mt, a decrease of 23.57% from the previous month and 0.96% from the same period last year.

SHANGHAI, Oct 24 (SMM) - SMM statistics showed that the global iron ore shipments totalled 22.67 million mt in the week ending October 23, a drop of 23.3% week-on-week.
