SHANGHAI, Oct 10 (SMM) - SMM statistics showed that China’s steel port shipments by domestic trade totalled 6.28 million mt in the week of October 1-7, down 27% week-on-week.

A large 9-month trade surplus has reflected an expansion of both exports and imports, with involved products mostly being for industrial development.

China exported 15,464 mt of precursors of cathode active materials (including NCA) in August, 2022, a month-on-month decline of 3.9% and a year-on-year increase of 45%.

According to customs data, China's prebaked anode exports in August were 141,600 mt, down 31.43% month on month and up 6.99% year on year.

Magnesium prices are expected to weaken in the fourth quarter, and the upward momentum of magnesium prices is limited.
