Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) construction partners will close interstate lanes at the locations below for the 16@95 Improvement Projects, which will widen Interstate 16 (I-16) and reconstruct the I-16/I-95 Interchange. The lane closures are necessary for widening activities for I-16 and bridge work at the I-16/I-516 Interchange.

The School Building Authority, on April 10, 2024, approved $87 million for 18 school construction projects in counties across West Virginia. The approval comes as the U.S. Department of Education has threatened to take back $465 million in COVID-19 relief funds that were provided to West Virginia for the states failure to maintain a level of education funding relative to overall state spending as required by federal rules.
