London's Metropolitan Police have come under criticism for arresting a man carrying a sign calling Hamas a "terrorist" organisation.

A man who simply held a sign on a London street was violently attacked by protestors and arrested by the police.

The Iranian 38-year-old activist held a sign reading “Don’t attack the law. Hamas is a terrorist. U.K. added Hamas to the terrorist list “Terrorism Act 2000” in March 2021.”

Protesters who clamber onto war memorials face three months in jail and a fine of up to £1,000 under new plans.

Metropolitan Police confirmed they made 13 arrests and are still seeking the identities of many more.

Home Secretary James Cleverly suggested laws could be changed to give police powers to prevent protesters from clambering over war memorials.

Climbing statues is not illegal but it was seen as "unfortunate" that pro-Palestine campaigners clambered over a war memorial in Hyde Park, Britain's top cop has said.

Minister says "I will not stand idly by" and wants protesters disrespecting war memorials "in handcuffs" after footage emerged.

London's Metropolitan Police have been accused yet again of applying different standards to protests based on their political affiliation.
