A stretch of highway that is yet to be completed runs through areas in Myanmar’s Chin and Rakhine States which are seeing some of the worst fighting in recent months.
The Land Ports Authority of India (LPAI) released its latest report “Strengthening Border Connectivity at India-Myanmar Border” and hosted a Panel Discussion on India-Myanmar Connectivity on Friday. Prabhat Kumar IFS, Special Secretary (ER and DPA), Ministry of External Affairs was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Kumar praised LPAI for the crucial role it has played in facilitating safe and seamless cross-border movement of trade and passengers through land ports.
