IndiGo Airlines stops sale of canned beverages and has offered to give a complimentary glass of coke or juice to every passenger but on one condition.

IndiGo Airlines approves purchase of 10 additional A320 NEO family aircraft from Airbus, adding to previous order of 300 aircraft.

Starting its journey in 2006, completing 17 years, IndiGo has become India’s most preferred airline with over 65% share covering 75+ domestic and 30+ international destinations.

The airline plans to add six more international locations in the current year. In the coming quarters, domestic competition is likely to intensify as SpiceJet (fund infusion), Jet Airways (revival), Akasa and Air India are either adding capacity aggressively or starting operations anew.

Pieter Elbers would take over as IndiGos CEO in place of outgoing Ronojoy Dutta, who had led the airline since 2019.
