Summary
KIIDP2 aims enhancing infrastructure and institutional capacity of KCCA and to improve urban mobility for economic growth for all people in Kampala.
The project will serve and benefit five Divisions of Kampala: Central, Nakawa, Makindye, Kawempe, and Rubaga. The project objectives include;
Widening, upgrading and construction of selected city roads, junctions, drainage and associated infrastructure
Development of institutional and systems support so as to strengthen the capacity of KCCA to deliver on its mandate.

Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has embarked on an exercise to repair city roads that are in a sorry state. The move by KCCA is to make City roads motorable and reduce on peak hour traffic congestion, which has persistently affected the city dwellers mobility and productivity.
It should be noted that 75 per cent of the 600km of paved road network has outlived its design life and is exhibiting failures such as potholes and edge distress.

Doha: As part of efforts to provide integrated infrastructure, advanced roads and utilities across Qatar, the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has begun the implementation of the first package of the Roads and Infrastructure Development Project in Umm Slal Mohammed, located at the west of Al Shamal Road.
Eng. Ali Ashkhanani, Head of North Areas Section at Roads Projects Department of Ashghal, said the project will serve 623 plots of citizens subdivisions in Umm Slal Mohammed. He added that integrated infrastructure will be constructed with advanced services along with internal streets to improve streamlined traffic flow and linking with public utilities to be constructed in the area in future.
