Three years after signing into law amendments to state mini-WARN Act, Governor Phil Murphy signed Assembly Bill No. 4768 permitting them to take effect April 10, 2023. The effective date of the sweeping revisions had been put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

New Jersey moved closer to implementing changes to the state’s mini WARN Act. The New Jersey Legislature recently passed a bill, Assembly Bill No. 4768 that will allow major revisions to the law to take effect in 90 days upon enactment and add requirements for employers.
