Instagram users faced server connection issues on Metas social media platform as the mobile application experienced an outage.

Photo and video-sharing app Instagram is down for users globally. The reason behind the outage has not yet been ascertained.

Several users have taken to X to report the issues they have been facing on the popular photo-sharing app.

Meta-owned photo-sharing platform, Instagram is down for several users around the world, including in India. The outage began on Thursday morning, and users are reporting that they are unable to access their feeds, send or receive messages, or view stories. As of now, the company has not revealed any details related to the outage.

The social network, as well as its parent firm, is yet to acknowledge the outage or issue a statement on it.

All of Metas popular apps are offline leaving WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook users without access.

Meta Platform Inc's Instagram was back up for most users, the company said on Sunday, after a technical issue that disrupted services to thousands of people had been resolved.

At its peak around 7 p.m. on Sunday, more than 25,000 Canadians and nearly 200,000 Americans reported the outage.
