Yesterday was profoundly gutsy and today, it was unbelievably, incomprehensibly gutsy. but isnt that a bit of a stretch, especially in view of the fact -- look at it this way, if it ever got out that obama had passed on the chance at capturing or killing bin laden, obamas political career is over. >> you know, i dont even know what that is except bitterness. walrus under water talking what is he actually saying? im ticked off this guy did something great thats really what rush is saying, isnt it...

Polarized than you can remember it but isnt it interesting, you are looking at the same thing, really? you are looking at what looks to be very, very competent work by the cia under leon panettas instructions, by the president overall, command and control of the situation, a deliberate decision to go this way rather than going with a predator a lot of decisions made over a course of almost a year and how do you not give the lions share of all those decisions which were made by this president, to...

Also saying the debate about whether we would have gotten the same information from other approaches as well will always be an open questions. >> here is what jose rodriguez who ran cias counterterrorism center was the lead information that eventually led to the location of bin ladens compound and led to the operation for his death. do you think he is credible or not? he was part of the problem back then that we all know about. >> well, he has great insights because he was there, but i think, ag...

That they were not composite. >> are they cooperating in terms of allowing the u.s. access to the interrogation of individuals or picked up at that compound and now are in their custody? >> i know weve requested it. i dont know how much cooperation were getting and i dont want to go any further on that. >> on the sensitive issue on whether the enhanced interrogation techniques led to the killing of osama bin laden, dennis mcdonough yesterday said absolutely no, no role whatsoever. listen to what...

Talk at all if it werent for waterboarding. my sources say that is not the case. of course, there are other ways to get people to talk. >> the white house said flatly that this notion that enhanced interrogation techniques led to all of this he said is not a fact. >> exactly. its not a fact. but, again, we have to understand, because we cover politics, that people come at this from different vantage points. the bush administration wanting to make it clear that this information was not gleamed an...
