The first three episodes of WandaVision were a confusing, enjoyable, reality-bending piece of work and if it gave you more questions than it did answers about the heroes Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision, then it’s doing its job.
Thrown into the deep end of 50s, 60s and then 70s sitcoms, the first three episodes of WandaVision saw the loved-up heroes living a suburban life – happily married and attempting to assimilate into their seemingly normal community of neighbours.
It didn’t take long for strange occurrences to happen and viewers are hinted that this town of Westview may not be as simple as it seems.

While filmmakers clearly get autonomy when working on their respective projects in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there is also a key collaborative aspect to being a part of the franchise. With all stories contributing to a larger continuity and many of them developing simultaneously, there are measures taken to ensure that concurrently developing stories donât overlap and that certain ideas can be implemented for the grand scheme. Itâs a process that has worked for Marvel Studios on the big screen for more than decade now, and itâs not something thatâs changing now that the brand is entering a new era with its Disney+ streaming series.

WandaVision might have laid the groundwork for one of the most emotional Captain Marvel stories in the comics.

WandaVision s most recent episode, We Interrupt This Program, opened in shocking fashion. While Marvel fans were being blown away by the reversal of what is now referred to as The Blip, there was a major detail tossed into the dialogue. Monica Rambeau s mother, Maria Rambeau, died during the five year span where half of the universe was out of existence. Cancer took Maria s life but not before she had made a major impact on the world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
