The village is currently accepting letters of interest for the vacant seats at the Municipal Building, 13 W. Main St., until April 30.

Bryan VerBurg provided councilmembers with an update Tuesday relating to the demolition of the water tower located near Mechanics Street.

Mayor Charles Reeder has about a month left in office. A water project he helped shepherd into fruition will last years into the future.

The lowest bids for a major water project in the Village of Shiloh came in about $500,000 less than engineering estimates.

The Fairfield City Council held their first May meeting and the last meeting for outgoing Aldermen Tyler Lampley and Jerry Lisinbee. Both Aldermen were presented with a token of appreciation for their years of service to the City of Fairfield. Mayor Gary Moore was also presented a token of appreciation for his service as Alderman.
