We will also hear from South Carolina voters out in the field, we have a lot to get to over the next few hours, in what has been a crazy last 48 hours of news. This Republican Primary tonight, of course, brings us back to the home state of one, nikki haley, where she was twice elected governor, at high Approval Ratings as such. It also brings us the moment where donald trump hoped to basically end this thing. To close the race out and consolidate his con
fatigue and morale issues, and in thele meantime republicans a playing politics. they are playing politicwise the vital resources ukraine needs to defend its democracy from invaders. the democrats agreed to work with republicans and to craft a bipartisan bill to increase border security measures in exchange for that aid. but then donald trump came out against the deal. he did not want to hand president biden a victory on trump s favorite campaign issue, which is drumming up fear about what s happening eaautothe bord. and so today republicans voted to kill their own bill in the senate. the finaln vote was 49-50 with all but four republicans voting against r it. after that stunning defeat democrat chuck schumer put a second bill on the floor. it strips out the border stuff and juste funds aid to israel d taiwan and ukraine, which is what the democrats wanted in the first place. 58 voted to advance that bill. that is just shy until the 60 they need for final passage. now the sen

hello and thank you for joining us. it is 10 a.m. eastern. i m ana cabrera with jose diaz vallart. special breaking news coverage today. for a man with a lengthy and varied history of high stakes court battles, this will be a legal saga unlike anything donald trump has encountered before. the former president has now been federally indicted on seven criminal charges related to his handling of classified documents. nbc news has confirmed one of the charges is related to the espionage act. all eyes now turn to tuesday at 3 p.m. eastern, the day before the former president s 77th birthday when we expect trump to appear in court in miami and unless information is released beforehand, that s also when we expect to get the full detailed list of charges from the special counsel s team. for his part, trump has denied any wrongdoing. they can t stop because it s election interference at the highest level. there s never been anything like what s happened. i m an innocent man. i m a
