Maharashtras government has signed a MoU worth Rs 10,000 crore with Web Werks for investment in a mega IT/ITES data centre over five years, with the potential to create 1,500 direct employment jobs. The MoU was signed in Davos.

The private equity (PE) inflow stood at USD 3.6 billion in the year-ago period.

Work on the 6.8 million square feet IT park, spread over 27 acres, is ongoing and the entire campus is expected to be ready by 2026.

The move will fetch the authority Rs 59.17 crore revenue. An investment of Rs 1,757.45 crore is proposed on these two data centre plots that will generate an estimated 775 jobs, the Authority noted.

At present, the CRC Group is undertaking construction of projects spread over a total of 72 lakh square feet area. The company has also collaborated with Jaypee to construct a high-end ultra-luxury residential complex with a golf course view, the firm said.

The Group 108 will primarily focus on commercial real estate but is open to other segments as well, including the residential sector.

Celebal Technologies has rented a single floor having an area of 18,460 square feet at a rental of Rs 42 per square feet per month. The monthly rental would be Rs 7.75 lakh per month.

The survey, in which 300 startups participated, said that about 16 percent of these ventures, majority early-stage startups, have plans to maintain their existing headcount.
