Rockland property owners will not see a county tax increase in 2023 for the second straight year under an $812.4M budget adopted by the Legislature.

Fairview Oval homeowners are asking a judge to block Ramapos sale of parkland designed to bring a park and land for development at a synagogue.

Ramapo plans to sell 22 vacant acres for $1.35 million near Fairview Oval to New Hempstead. A yeshiva is buying five of the acres for $1.2 million.

Rockland legislators will hold informational forums in each of the five towns on the process of redistricting and to hear the public ideas.
