US CPI for October is the highlight of this week in terms of data releases. We expect headline at 0.1 m/m and core at 0.3% m/m in line with consensus but with uncertainty coming from the auto worker's strike which might have temporarily raised car prices, as well as from technical factors related to the calculation of health insurance premiums. If there is an upside surprise related to those issues, the market should see through it.

A quiet start to the week on the data front, with only US Empire Manufacturing index due for release. The Fed's Harker (voter, dove) is scheduled to speak on economic outlook in the afternoon.

A busy week starts off with inflation data from the Nordics. In Norway, strong wage growth continues to support broader inflation pressures, and we expect August core inflation to tick slightly higher to 6.6% y/y (from 6.4%). In Denmark, inflation likely remained more muted, we think headline prices rose 3.0% y/y in August.
