Born July 2, 1944 to Kenneth and Carla Hacking of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Pixie grew up alongside her brother Jack both playing and loving sports. Pixie especially excelled at equestrian, field hockey, and tennis. Growing up she attended The Northrup Collegiate School in Minneapolis.
