Hubballi, Apr 16: Disgruntled BJP leader Jagadish Shettar on Sunday resigned from the Karnataka assembly after being denied ticket by the party for the May 10 assembly poll.

Udupi, Apr 13: A major accident was averted at a helipad in Udupi district of Karnataka on Thursday where Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai arrived enroute to his visit to Kollur Mookambika temple.

The Puttenahalli police registered a case on March 29 after his manager, Manjunath alias Jack Manju, filed a complaint with them. According to the complaint, Sudeep had received the threat letter on March 10 at his residence.
