Alexandra del Moral Mealer conceded through Twitter Wednesday morning after Harris County Elections announced results. Lina Hidalgo won by 15,957 votes, 50.74 percent to 49.24 percent.

GOP donors have spent millions to unseat Hidalgo, a Democrat who leads the state’s most populous county, and take back a seat they lost four years ago.
