Allied Data Service has validated signatures on more than 300 petitions for 32 clients, including presidential candidates, across 34 states. Last year alone, the company validated more than five million signatures.

The owner of a Dallas-area trade school that trained military veterans in the heating and air-conditioning industry was convicted Thursday by a federal jury of defrauding Veterans Affairs out of about $70 million, which he used to support a lavish lifestyle, the U.S. attorney’s office said.
The city of Plano attracted ire from property rights activists at a City Council meeting Monday evening for its handling of a legal dispute with a Montessori academy.
âI think the city of Plano needs a new law â a law that restricts the use of eminent domain,â said attorney Jack Ternan, who represents the plaintiff, in a public comment to the council. âSome things should be obvious: land, education, free enterprise⦠These things are more important than a bike trail.â
For nearly 40 years, park officials have been looking to construct a trail along Hoblitzelle Park in northeast Plano. In conjunction with this project, they have sought to create a bike trail and an accompanying tunnel undercrossing beneath Hedgcoxe Road purported to link the city with Allen. In pursuing these endeavors, Plano officials have attempted to acquire the rights to a plot of land adjacent to and owned by Montessori Childrenâs House.
