Reforms, adding into this mix, of course, this is now a Midterm Election years year. Things are not easy in an Election Year so that adds into this complicated agenda they have. Up here on the hill tomorrow white house aides will be meeting with top congressional leadership trying to work towards that Government Potential Shutdown Showdown that we might have in a couple weeks and this weekend, speaker of the house, paul ryan, and Mitch Mcconnell, will be heading to camp david to meet with the pr...

How hes sort of given a lot of tug of war in terms of whether hes going to show up or not. i think both sides, hes going to be a volleyball and were also going to hear why he felt threatened and why he couldnt show up the last time he was supposed to in front of house oversight. >> open a scale of one to ten, how do you rate the action that were going to be seeing on capitol hill this week with ten being the most dramatic? >> oh, man, alisyn, thats so hard. its going to be a dramatic week for su...

Just for a political perspective, get it all out at once. if youre going to rip the band-aid off, do it fast? >> in a normal political context, you try to take out all your dirty laundry at once. this president is just not capable of that. he lives off drama, he thrives off drama. what happened last night, that was a self-inflicted wound. he was proud to talk about how he lied. so, yes, he should try to rearrange this cabinet as quickly as possible and stabilize things. but, boy, i dont -- ive n...

Year. >> brian fallon, final word? >> i think mitch mcconnell is a realist and the idea some kind of big cut slashing of medicare and medicaid is going to make it ways through both chambers would be pushing republicans politically to the limit. you saw susan collins stretched to vote in favor of the tax package hear it from her constituents in maine. they lost a senate seat in alabama a new democrat sworn in, a one-seat majority. democrats are going to run on entitlement cuts based on what the t...

While they -- locking in and to a fight with the president over an issue like immigration does animate their base, at the same time, there is a high level of support dealing with border security, known as the wall. that is one of the things -- those are the political dynamics that are going to drive this fight. i think whats going to happen eventually, poppy, this is not going to be very easy, its not going to happen quickly in the first quarter. its going to be an issue thats fought all the way...

Kept saying mexico was going to pay for. >> right. >> to jackies point, immigration is hard to attack a tackle any year. its really hard in a midterm year. are you going to get everything or comprehensive immigration reform? how do republicans thread the needle? >> on the politics you cant go into a 2018 election unless you have your base secured and locked down. republicans are -- the thinking here is that this is an issue that does play to their base. it is a fight that they believe they want ...

To continue funding the government without any deal on daca. i think if those 18 to 20 democrats again fall in line with the republicans and dont take steps like senator kamala harris of california and others running in 2020 have taken, saying my support is contingent resolving the daca issue, you will see the daca activists showing up at democratic offices to complain. >> its important, jackie, the handful of democrats in congress ive had on in the last few days, none of them have said theyll g...

Is this mcconnells only shot at this? meaning, if he cant get it done this week they have to walk from it? >> if he cant get it done this week, it will be because of an important factor we havent talked about, everybody is watching. everybody in the country. everybody who is going to flood the, flown the banks of all of the members of congress, whether youre for or against this and weigh in. when lisa murkowski says im looking for nor information shes not waiting for another report from the loca...

Discuss it all. errol louis is here, and jackie cue since it kucinich and associate editor and columnist for "real clear politics." thank you all for being here. i dont think mitch mcconnell is sleeping much these days, and this cbo score, 22 million more americans uninsured in a decade than currently would be under this plan, makes his job that much harder. as our dana bash rightly put it, you dont even have nenough vots to begin the debate on this one yet. you say if mcconnell losing rand paul...
