Arts projects in Kootenai County are coming to life thanks to the Jack Bannon Fund for the Arts. Five artists, including Elaina DeJong, Doreen Graham, Keith Harrop and Joslyn Benak received grant awards as part of the legacy of actor Jack Bannon.

The Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center is inviting artists to share their artistic expressions of hope and healing in the upcoming "Art Uplifts" exhibit.

The Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center will be off to the races May 2 for its Kentucky Derby-themed Run for the Roses gala fundraiser.

The Post Falls Historical Society is changing the location of its annual meeting from the Post Falls Library to the Sanctuary Room of the Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center. The meeting will still be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
