More than two years before an Enoch father shot and killed his family in their home, police investigated an allegation that hed assaulted his eldest daughter multiple times.

Police records show Michael Haight had previously been investigated for child abuse, although he was never charged after he claimed the incidents were a "misunderstanding."

A 2020 report from the Enoch Police Department alleges Michael Haight, who murdered seven members of his own family in January, showed signs of controlling and violent behavior.

Tausha Haight, her five children and her mother were laid to rest after a funeral in La Verkin outside of Zion National Park in southern Utah. Police say Michael Haight shot and killed his family in their Enoch home.
