West Virginia still hasnt developed a request for proposals for the first phase of its electric vehicle infrastructure plan, a year after it said it would award contracts under the plan. The plan is federally funded by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

The West Virginia Department of Transportation is behind neighboring states in implementing a federally funded program to build out electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The DOT hasnt yet determined how it will procure a vendor for the first phase of the program supported by $45.7 million from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
