The King of Carson passed away in a backyard on Roop Street on Sept. 8, and at first it was believed that some form of foul play had taken the Kings life, whether from being struck by a car or poisoned by a rival deer who wanted to take the throne.

A 25-year-old woman received minor injuries to her leg after she startled a bear that had broken into her groups cooler during a trip to Lake Tahoe over the weekend.

A tip from the public led to three men being convicted of several wildlife crimes after using a drone to harass a trophy-sized mule deer buck in an effort to drive it off private lands so they could kill it.
