James T. Patten admitted to orchestrating misleading trades involving the deli’s parent company in an apparent bid to enrich himself and two co-defendants.

The SEC charged a father, son, and friend with violation of Sections 17 a 1 and 3 of the Securities Act of 1933 and Section 10b of the Securities Act of 1934 and Rule 10b 5 and the Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey filed a 12 count indictment against each of them.

People at the beleaguered investment bank are working in a state of limbo as many question their futures at the firm, which is undergoing a radical overhaul.

The three men also face criminal charges from the U.S. Attorneys Office in New Jersey for "conspiracy to commit securities fraud" and "securities fraud."
