Theatre and Dance students and faculty at the University of Central Missouri attended the Region V Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) Jan. 16-21 in Des Moines, Iowa. The 32 students and five faculty members who attended and were recognized for excellence in multiple areas of theatre and dance.

Performances run through July 22 at the opera house.

Entering its 39th season of live children’s touring theatre productions, University of Central Missouri (UCM) Repertory Theatre (CMR) will present “Robin Hood” by Kathryn Schultz Miller at numerous locations throughout West Central Missouri in late May and early June. University of Central Missouri Theatre and Dance and UCM Music present “Eurydice” at James L. Highlander Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 23, 24 and 25, and during matinees at 2 p.m. Feb. 25 and 26. The afternoon production on Feb. 26 is Pay-What-You-Can (minimum $1) admission and on Feb. 23 there will be an ASL interpreter for the hearing-impaired.

The musical “Nunsense” brings the antics of five funny nuns to life when the Tibbits Summer Theatre production opens Thursday.

The small ensemble musical portrays the parables of Jesus through of games, storytelling techniques and hefty doses of comic timing.

Tibbits Summer Theatre will open its season June 16 with the musical comedy “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change."
