Wheelock Family Theatre opens its 2023-2024 season with The Addams Family, a musical featuring a book by Rick Elice and Marshall Brickmn.

Despite the financial pressures that continue to pinch theater companies post-pandemic, this fall’s theatrical lineup is an ambitious and intriguing mix of titles and topics, from an adaptation of "Hamlet" to the world premiere of "Lunar Eclipse."

The busy summer theater season includes shows from Provincetown to Falmouth, a mix of musicals, new plays, humor light and dark, and family shows.

“Alice: The New Musical” delivers a spiffy coming-of-age tale to add to the whimsy and humor of the original.

Theaters will stage tales about loneliness, the military in North Truro, Billy Joel and Elton John and a childs love, plus Broadway in Provincetown.

Cape Cod theaters bring music, laughter and thought-provoking commentary to summer nights, indoors and outside.

How we can entertain ourselves this summer is becoming clearer, as two more Cape Cod theaters, music festivals in Orleans and Provincetown, and a Marthas Vineyard book festival are among the latest groups releasing their plans for the season.
