Lumpkin was raised in Weatherford and graduated from Weatherford High School in 1971. Brenda attended SWOSU and earned degrees in both 1974 and 1978. According to Elk City, City Manager Tom Ivester, personnel with the Elk City Fire Department and Elk City EMS are now qualified to take the vaccine into homes of those who may be unable to get themselves to a point of distribution clinic. According to the probable cause affidavit, 21-year-old Brandon Lee Thomas was arrested and charged in Custer County with the crime after police were made aware of the inappropriate relationship by the victim’s father. Elk City fire fighters responded to a structure fire on Friday night. According to fire officials a fire broke out at Advantage Audio on South Main just after 6:30 p.m. When responders arrived they would find heavy smoke coming out of the building with sounds of explosions. Officials say the fire was contained to the rafters of the mainly metal building, and suspect as a result of the fire, the building is not a total loss.
