In 2022, Edgar and Jesus began talking about bringing their family cooking back to Worthington. By June, Jesus bought a food truck and Tacos Coahuila was created.

She started her business while on maternity leave with one of her three daughters.

Juan is from Jalisco, Mexico, and Zulma is from El Salvador. They met while working in the same restaurant, Taqueria La Juanita, in Storm lake, Iowa.

The Godinez family has served Worthington for 17 years. They purchased the Long Branch Saloon 15 years ago and added their taco truck to the business nine years ago.

Nkashama takes into consideration who she is serving, saying, “If I serve an African person then I make it very different – very spicy.”
