CoutLoot, Indias largest online non-grocery retail aggregator, said it plans to onboard five million sellers from Tier 1 towns in the next two years. The company said its focus on smaller cities is largely due to the opportunity size and the reality of the challenges that small city sellers face versus big cities.

Coutloot has more than seven lakh street shops and small businesses on its platform that have gained customers and increased their profit margins; Open Network for Digital Commerce or ONDC is a government initiative that is freely accessible and aims to democratise e-commerce. 

CoutLoot has over six lakh sellers on its platform with the eclectic mix comprising of home businesses, so-called mom and pop shops and street vendors as well.

Average seller on its platform is currently earning around Rs 16,000 per month, which is nearly seven times that of Rs 2,300 registered every month in early 2020.

Mumbai-based Coutloot provides an online space for over six lakh local sellers to sell their products across the country; it has over 20 million listings on its app.
