PHILADELPHIA – E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company has denied allegations that a North Carolina man developed kidney cancer because of his exposure to trichloroethylene, during his work for the company as a materials handler, press operator and tool and dye maker.

Steve Burkhart a commercial lawyer and litigator with more than 25 years of experience who for over a decade was vice president, general counsel, and secretary at BIC has joined Ballard Spahr, firm Chair Mark Stewart announced.
Mr. Burkhart is a member of Ballard Spahr’s Litigation Department. He is resident in the firm’s Baltimore office.
