Community members came together to support the families of two Randall County Sheriff’s Office sergeants who died last week.

This weeks agenda includes meetings with the Amarillo City Council and both Potter and Randall counties commissioners.

These sad scenes "could have been totally different if there had first been a click," the judge noted, with 14 Amarillo area deaths so far this year.

"He gained the respect of all who knew him during his tenure with our office since 2014," the sheriffs office said in an announcement Thursday.

It’s been an emotional past 24 hours for the Claxton family.

“In this part of the country, we are so blessed that we have the support that we have, which was evident by the crowd that came out today."
