GATLINBURG — One of the city’s longtime employees is joining a list of recent city retirees.

GATLINBURG — The City Commission heard two options for a potential new program where the city would own and maintain Bearicuda trash containers for commercial businesses in the city.

Members of the Municipal Board of Zoning Appeals will consider his proposal when they meet Thursday afternoon. It is the sole item to be discussed. “This will be a high-end hotel with a rooftop bar,” Patel said of his planned Allegory Hotel in downtown Gatlinburg.
