Warren City Councilman Eddie Kabacinski continued his fight to remove candidates from the Nov. 7 ballot this week when he filed a suit in the Michigan State Court of Appeals.

WARREN — On Sept. 5, Macomb County Circuit Court Judge James M. Biernat Jr. resolved and closed the case Warren City Councilman Eddie Kabacinski filed against fellow candidates and election officials after the primary election last month.

Macomb County Circuit Court Judge James Biernat dismissed a fraud case Tuesday filed by Warren District 5 Councilman Eddie Kabacinski against three of his opponents and members the Warren Election Commission.

Macomb County Circuit Court Judge James Biernat heard oral arguments Tuesday morning in the case of Warren District 5 Councilman Eddie Kabacinski versus the Warren Election Commission and District 5 candidates Hal Newnan, Brittani Tringali, and Jay Michael Jackson.

WARREN — Incumbent City Councilman Eddie Kabacinski filed a lawsuit in Macomb County Circuit Court on Aug. 18 against three candidates, the Warren Election Commission and the Warren city clerk for allowing those candidates on this year’s primary election ballot.

Two weeks after Warren’s primary election, two candidates are challenging the results.

The deadline for a candidate to withdraw is 4 p.m. Friday. The primary is Aug. 8.
