A man who was 17 when he was arrested in a fatal Alexandria shooting took a plea bargain Monday that dropped the second-degree murder charge against him but still sent him to prison for 20 years.

One defendant accused in a 2021 Alexandria homicide has been sent to a state mental facility for rehabilitation.
