Since Corey Perry’s contract with the Chicago Blackhawks was torn up, Perry has taken care of his demons, and today he’s fresh as a daisy. The 38-year-old veteran is ready to don other colors, a jersey with which he’ll have a chance of lifting the Stanley Cup. According to David Pagnotta(The Fourth Period), Perry has […]

Samuel Montembeault allowed two late goals Tuesday night in Dallas against the mighty Stars. However, if it hadn’t been for his prowess beforehand, the Montreal Canadiens would surely not have come away with a .500 record on this trip. The Tricolore’s number 1 goaltender is very solid in front of his cage, even if he […]

At lunchtime, my colleague Marc-Olivier Cook posted a reminder of the importance of bringing back Arber Xhekaj to give Justin Barron, who has been on a tear lately, a little rest. This call comes on the heels of Stefan Noesen’s hard-hitting check on Juraj Slafkovsky, when no teammate came to his defense. The only player […]

Many fans don’t appreciate him for what he is, even though Tortorella is known to be exceptional when he’s not behind the bench. We saw another example of this last week, when a small child […]

At the moment, the Canadiens have seven defensemen in their active line-up. They are Mike Matheson, Gustav Lindstrom, Justin Barron, Jayden Struble, Kaiden Guhle, Mattias Norlinder and Johnathan Kovacevic. For the past few games, Norlinder has been the extra. He and Struble have been called upon to take the place of Arber Xhekaj and Jordan […]

"Its so close that our kids are foaming at the mouth to get out there," said Gladiators baseball coach Will Tavis, who has checked out his new outdoor workspace. "You go out there and its very tempting." The renovations — easily the most extensive in the colleges six-decade history — are nearly complete. ...
