Eddie Lee Pope, 51, of Detroit, Mich., was sentenced earlier this month to 240 months (20 years) in prison by U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Helmick, after being convicted by a jury, in October 2023, of possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute. 

Former Allen County Correction Officer was found guilty of one count of receipt and distribution of visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct after a federal jury trial.

The former corrections officer now faces a minimum sentence of five years in prison.

Derrick Murphy, 40, of Toledo, was sentenced recently to 320 months imprisonment by U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Helmick after earlier pleading guilty to enticement of a minor and drug charges. Judge Helmick also ordered Murphy to serve 10 years of supervised release upon release from imprisonment.

Federal Judge Jeffrey Helmick denied Gary Johnson's request to overturn his conviction on a bribery charge. He has not yet had a sentencing date set.
