Owen Sowerwine is comprised of over 400 acres of habitat along the Flathead River just east of Kalispell. The accomplishment is the work of the Flathead Land Trust, the Flathead Audubon Society and the Flathead Lakers.

The Harrell Forest Community Trail system, a 238-acre recreational area outside of Bigfork, is now open to the public.

The Flathead Land Trust now owns and manages the land, allowing public access for generations to come.

The Grosswiler and Marvin families placed their land under a conservation easement with the Flathead Land Trust.
