Montreal woman who lost thousands in 'grandparent' scam has warning for others
When the phone rang and a woman claiming to be her granddaughter told her she'd been arrested, a Montreal-area grandmother wanted to help. She ended up handing over about $4,000 in savings to someone she thought was an officer of the court.
