Town manager Joe Royle has confirmed Evertons interest in out-of-contract midfielder Jermaine Wright and admits that it is now unlikely the 28-year-old will be at Portman Road for 2004/05. Wright joined the Blues from Crewe for £500,000 in the summer of 1999.

Everton are the latest club to be linked by a tabloid newspaper with a move for out-of-contact Town midfielder Jermaine Wright. Southampton and Leeds have previously been mentioned in connection with the 28-year-old.

Fabian Wilnis and Jermaine Wright are both on the way back to fitness after their operations. The two players had surgery on hernias after suffering with groin problems in the latter stages of last season.

Young goalkeeper Lewis Price has signed a new contract which will keep him at Town for the next two years. It had previously been reported that the 19-year-old would agree to sign the deal which was offered earlier this week.

A tabloid newspaper has reported that Town midfielder Jermaine Wright is interesting Premiership Southampton. Wright, named the clubs players player of the year, is out of contract at the end of June and available on a Bosman.
