As Jerod Morris of the Assembly Call pointed out on X after Indiana’s loss to Purdue, the Hoosiers are in the 98th percentile in the country on the amount of long 2s they’re taking.

It looked like it would be another quiet week in Hoosier Nation before a plot twist occurred on Friday.

While the Hoosiers themselves were not playing, a few former IU stars were and one of them has newfound jewelry to show for it.

It continues to be a quiet time for IU basketball as the offseason rolls on. The main items for this week continue to be about recruiting as is typical for this time of year.

Other than a slight heartbreak on the recruiting trail (see below), there were several other stories on targets IU is pursuing for future classes.

We're one week closer to the fall semester getting underway in Bloomington which means we're one week closer to the start of another season of Indiana basketball.

While top-30 prospects Jalen Hood-Schifino and Malik Reneau have gotten most of the headlines and hype, and are assumed to be rotation players right away, the other two members of Indiana's 2022 recruiting class should not be slept on.
