As Clearcreek Township police officers held vigil next to one of their own while continuing to work in their community, residents brought snacks, drinks, and cards of support on Wednesday.

Officials plan to provide updates, including possible dash camera footage, on a Tuesday night shootout between Clearcreek Township officers and a man who was fatally shot by police.

A Clearcreek Township, Ohio police officer who was shot in the head while responding to a domestic violence call was in critical condition at a local hospital Tuesday night.

The other officer, a female sergeant, shot and killed the suspect, according to the police chief.
