Five teens, between the ages of 15 and 18, were arrested after fleeing Dearborn Heights police in a stolen vehicle and crashing into multiple vehicles.

Dearborn Heights officers recovered a loaded 9mm Smith & Wesson pistol with an extended magazine and a Taser from the stolen vehicle.

Thieves crashed a vehicle through a Dearborn Heights pawn shop and stole guns. After the building was boarded up, they came back and did the same thing again.

A second suspect who fired four shots at the intended victim as he fled in his truck, is still being sought by police as well as a third man who was driving a getaway car.

Dearborn Heights has hired a new police chief, the city said late Thursday.
